i got kicked off the reality show :) yay!!!!!!

ok so i was guna be on that reality show in hermosa beach. there were going to be 7 girls total, i was sharing the master bedroom with my friend cassandra (she works as a producer for my manager marki and --as a side note-- we are working on show ideas together to plug to networks she is cool we work out and brainstorm and get overly excited). we were not paying rent in the house, food was paid for, it was a 4 million dollar house on the beach, ......but the producers never quite got their stuff together. there was blue tape on the walls marking where the cameras should eventually be (they were slow at getting started and didnt have cameras in yet), the house had mattresses to sleep on but not furniture yet, the idea was for it to be a truman show documentary about living in LA, every room of the house (minus the bathrooms) would be live 24/7 online, and sometimes cameras would follow us to auditions or whatever gigs we had going on already in life-- just documenting how we lived our separate lives. they were also going to make episodes for TV as well. i had funny plans with the 24/7 cams when they were up i was guna make faces at them a lot or my friends could call if they were watching me and i'd wave at them. one girl in the house had magnets in her blanket to release the positive ions in her body or something.
then the show took a quite different turn when the producers gathered us girls in the kitchen with cameras and lights ready and said to wait around cuz a special guest was coming over. turns out the special guest is a stripper dressed as a cop- i realized this decided to go for a jog. another girl decided to nap. nobody really cared about this special guest being there. fact is i have nothing against strippers- its just not the image i want on camera. 15 minutes after the producers left the house that night we all got text messages saying to move out by 5pm the next day because they want girls that will do what they want. fine by me. i later asked them what our special guest had anything to do with 'making it in LA' (the title of the show), they said they had changed their mind and had decided nobody wants to watch us going to auditions but would rather watch girls get drunk and naked....... sooooo i moved in with lauren (from paris hilton bff show) and tina (makeup artist), they both left the show too. so now i live in north hollywood and its awesome though i love it-- been here for 2 days hha-- close to everything--

my lesson for this week... (see look mom im using my teaching degree) to anybody reading this -- dont lose your morals no matter how deep in you are you can always get out and things will get better. i gave up my lease in santa monica and to move into that big house. that big house had free rent and free food--kinda tempting to do watever you can to keep that deal going cuz dang its a sweet deal, especially here when its expensive to live in cali and there was potential to make A LOT of flipping money in that house once it was online or on TV-- and i definitely have school loans to pay off-- DOESNT MATTER! id rather go broke and move to iowa then ruin my career and life on a trashy reality show

i'm a new client to the best hosting agent in LA!!!!

my friend london had a bday party a week or so ago, the bday directions were to wear blue or pink, and write her a poem to recite to her at her party and we would be eating h'orderves -- i wore blue and wrote a poem about how she hooked me up with a date so i could attend her high-school prom on top of the ids tower in minneapolis during highschool cuz she went to a rich private school and i thought proms were fun haha, at that prom i met liz (who was also attending that prom from another school) and randomly asked if she wanted to be my college roomate the following year when we realized we were going to the same college she thought i was kidding at first and now we bffs still-- then after prom i asked liz if i could go on a date with her cute prom date she said go for it he's weird so i did and she was right he was weird... (sorry andy!!)... anyway at londons party one of her friends is the personal assistant on the ellen degeneres show and said that whenever fan mail comes in she gets to sort it and keep all the starbucks cards cuz elen doesnt like starbucks, but the girl doesnt like starbucks either really so i offered to have them. then i thought of this scheme to go on all the elen degeneres fansites online and start rumors about how much she effing loves starbucks and then hopefully watch the cards spill in... but i haven't followed up with that girl since the party and i probably wont just cuz id feel bad.

oh AND big news im so happy!!!!! i got picked up as a client by Marki Costello!!! one of the best hosting agents in LA!! she represents all the big hosts, ones on E, the WB, the guy who hosts Animal Planet i think, yay!!! (but minus ryan seacrest) and her grandpa was lou costello (from the 1950's comedy show 'Abbott and Costello') here's her site... click here... can you find me?! wee! i was pretty happy about it cuz i heard from my hosting friend paul that she was the best but good luck getting her so i called and her assistant was like no you cant even meet with her so i gave her my website anyway which i guess she looked at cuz she called me back the next day and was like..... we usually don't do this but love your reel and marki wants to meet with you. so i met with her yesterday and she picked me up as a client yay!!! and when she found out i can edit too for a side job im helping edit other hosts' and actors' reels for the company. and today when i went back to edit the assistant was telling people on the phone that 'no sorry marki is not looking to represent anyone right now' -- im so lucky!!! meow

p.s.

its funny/interesting watching people come in and out of the apartment here auditioning to have my room... its really like an audition cuz all the roomates bombard corner them in a room with 21 questions and we ask them if they have any talents to entertain us with haha, even though im the one moving out i ask just as many questions just cuz ppl are so interesting. and i take notes sometimes. we get some really interesting ppl... one guy here now has a huge feather dangling from his left ear. i told him that when he left we were going to talk about his feather. he is all about positive energy which he says we have yay and he feels he connects with his girlfriend from past lives and he is a fire dancer. another girl came in the other day dragging behind her a 4 year old kid on a leash we are like ummm no. me and roomie kim say that even after we find someone we should keep the ad up and just keep having people come in and tryout pretending theres a room for rent cuz its just fun meeting them.

got to las vegas at 5am...

i read twilight book number 2 (new moon?) in a week i think, cant remember the last time i read but i loooved it. i really want to meet the cast now haha since im in LA-
i finished my book by thursday so i was bored in my room thursday night at 11pm, wasn't bored for long at 11:14pm our neighbors told us they were going to vegas with 3 of their girlfriends just for the night so my roomie marcie (who is actually from las vegas) and i chugged red bulls and got to vegas at 5am, hung out around the vegas strip til 8am when we went back to marcie's house to surprise her mom. 6 hours later we hopped back in our car and drove back to LA haha but within that 6 hours i took a nap, watched 20 min. of stepbrothers, and was shown around the side of vegas that a lot of ppl dont see because marcie actually grew up there. it was my cultural vegas experience and it was awesome. i saw her highschool, got vegas frozen yogurt, went to a gas station like a vegas resident, met her family including 17 yr old brother who mixes cereals, 23 year old brother who paints in the garage and sets up art tables to sell around the vegas strip, her mom works nights at a hospital, her older sister strips in NY (didnt meet her), her dog #1 looks like a raison and is so old with bows in its hair, dog #2 looks like a giant polar bear seriously gigantic and i took 30 pictures of it probably and it hates cameras so it was terrified of me and her mom said maybe cuz some ppl (and dogs?) think that everytime your picture is taken it steals your soul, so i stole that a lot, during dark we went to the 'edge of town' where the road ends to the west with a great view of vegas. a fence with a 'road closed' sign marked the west edge of vegas, took picture of it, dessert beyond it, creepy car parked on top of sand mound suddenly flickered lights like it was waiting for someone apparantly thinking we were it so was showing us their hidden location... just incase it was a bad exchange we were getting caught in the middle of we left so we wouldn't get murdered incase they felt we knew too much about their secret hideout or maybe it was just highschool kids kissing

saw spider on window on the way home, thought it fell on my lap, screamed, marcie screamed, slowed down, got honked at, pulled over, was just piece of paper that fell, spider still on window, ate the spider. just kidding threw it out window. got home to santa monica, realized i left my laptop and all things important at marcie's house. driving back 4 hrs there, 4 hrs back tomorrow with roomie kim starting at 6am to go grab it. crap.

i totally fit the minnesota stereotype!! when i feel like it

hi! i went and surprised jason in nashville last week that was fun :) i told him my phone died but really i was flying to see him, one night we went to a movie about this florida city girl moving to minnesota, they stereotyped it so bad, like MN was nothing but a tundra of snow in the movie, snow and old ladies wearing cat shirts scrapbooking, with really bad minnesota accents making tapioca all the time, i guess they actually filmed the movie in canada and pretended it was minnesota. anyway we were walking out the movie talking about how stereotypical it was and then laughed really hard cuz we realized we were both in our comfs like sweatpants ha like we just walked off the movie set-- after nashville i went to san diego for a few days to visit my aunt/uncle/cousins and my mom flew out from MN to visit them too so we all hung out, my 9 yr old cousin hannah has a horse so we went and pet it, it literally smiles when you feed it, ugly smile, shows its teeth all funny, then we got yogurt it was self serve i had a lot, we went to michaels craft store and me and hannah hid in the fake plants and tried scaring shoppers but nobody walked by close enough, then i relived 4th grade prank phone calls later, we called random numbers in the phone book or *67 on my friends and told them their credit card expired, that they won flatscreen TVs, sold girlscout cookies, or that we found their jaguar wandering loose around the streets of maine eating ppl

i can't remember the last time i read a book, but i liked the movie twilight so much i got the second book of that series so i was reading twilight 2 (aka new moon or something) and hannah was like im bored so i gave her my phone and told her to text my friends. so she texted all these random people in my phone and when i looked at my phone later it was so funny what she wrote like 'hi this is emma i'm NINE' and lauren wrote back like, 'hi emma this is lauren i'm TWENTY TWO' haha i duno i thought the capitalizing was funneh-- and then b4 she left she wrote to a lot of them like "bye jamie I'll never talk to you again srry- from emma" and was telling them about the boy in class ben she has a crush on and took pictures of his picture with my phone to send them for a better visual ---

then i drove back to LA with my mom and told my landlord i was moving out to hermosa haha and pet his cat while he got papers for me to sign and then started mumbling something about how his cat likes everyone else but him i didnt know if he was kidding or not seemed like a touchy subject

i hit a deer here, i didnt even know they had those

ps i went to pepperdine (university) yesterday to see a presentation that my friend paul put on-- 3 speakers (one girl worked for jakks toys (makes all hannah montana toys), one guy founded 'hopeless records' (band 'seven fold' is on it), and the other guy talked of a guy who turns garbage into worm poop and sells it). they told their stories and then i had lunch with them all afterwards and it was super interesting- the hopeless records guy (louis) turned legally blind about the same time he started the label, he gives a lot of the profit to charities-- we ate sandwiches-- and then yogurt mmmm-- and omg pepperdine is the PRETTIEST campus ive ever seen (i guess its rated 2nd prettiest in the world- 1st being somewhere in europe-- and its in the mountains of malibu, i started wishing i had gone to school there until i figured out that kids graduate and have 150,000 $ in school loans... hmmm nevamind. i took the long way home through the mountains and it was raining and i was scared of mudslides listening to taylor swift and then i saw a deer to my left and wondered where it went until i hit it and then i was like oh there it is

I'M GOING TO BE ON A SHOW!!!! and i like jogging

i'm going to be on a show! it'll start out on the internet and the producers are hoping it'll get picked up by mtv, nbc, spike tv or something eventually-- i went to the show audition last week and made it (maybe cuz i showed them i could talk with my mouth closed and told them i skinned chickens once in south america), so today i met with 9 other girls who made it (we met at top of huntley hotel in santa monica with the coolest view everrrr of mountains and the beach and LA), we are all moving into a big mansion on hermosa beach (havent told my new roomates im moving out yet ha i just got here like 11 days ago?), i think the show will be called 'making it in LA' or something--all us girls chosen have really different things going on in our lives and so each of our lives is like a different story line of the show! it just documents us as we do what we do what we already do! (some go to beauty school, one girl is famous in Estonia as a TVhost (really random country in Europe!), one girl is playboy model of 2008, one girl was on that Paris Hilton TV show where she looks for a BFF, one little girl wrestled in highschool and beat all the boys, and I didn't hear from every single one what their story was but the common thread is that we in LA doing whatever! So the producers will leave cameras around the house that we can just pick up and bring wherever which is MY FAVORITE THING EVER i'll be like sweet pancake party 2am wheres that dang camera, or hey random road trip to the gas station? anyway so funny cuz all us girls are bonding like crazy and the producers over there i heard them like... so much for having drama in the house they get along too good ha!!

ive loved living in this apartment though the 11 days it lasted cuz its super fun and interesting, my 3 roomates we are all so different but we get along so great!!- i love listening to veronica's stories (not real name haha i dont feel like saying the real one) cuz she can talk forever and about how she has a massive crush on this married exotic 23 year old guy who is married to a 40 year old girl. the roomate living in the livingroom is 19 and likes 37 year olds and the other roomate from hawaii is an import model and walks around in her underwear only when we have our guy friends over otherwise she locks herself in her room or goes on snowboarding trips to far away places. our 3 guy neighbors (2 are pool managers at bev. hills hotel, and one says that its the worst day of his life everyday cuz he hates his marketing job) (we brought rice pudding cup and cookie to the other day) we are getting to all be fast buds kinda like the show friends we take turns cooking each other meals and we were going to get walky talkies for each of our apartment-- and once i jogged home and high school girls were wrapping up a garage sale and gave me a free toaster and mini lava lamp night light. love santa monica, and the streets of the neighborhoods here are lined with big trees that almost touch overhead (thats one of my favorite life things) so its like jogging through mystical tree tunnels of awesomeness.
